“Emergency Channel” Informative NGO

“Emergency Channel” Informative Non-Governmental Organization informs people about the emergencies and risks that threaten them, the plans and programs of the governing bodies, the rules of conduct of the population by providing reliable, continuous, necessary and useful information through television, radio, print media and other means, to increase the population awareness and preparedness, and avoid panic during crises.

Within the framework of the "Immediate Emergency Response" (Emergency) component of the STRIVE project “Emergency Channel” Informative NGO initiated two TV programmes (in cooperation with psychologists working in Tavush) about psychological problems caused by the war, post-traumatic stress disorder, ways to cope with mental health problems, psychological first aid, and other issues. Through contacts of psychologists and psychiatrists, the project identified free psychological counseling services and providers available in the region to support people affected by the war.

As a result of the meetings organised by Tavush Media, the project created a platform on the tavushmedia.am website about supporting projects implemented by regional organisations. This resulted in a 20% increase in applications submitted to the supporting organisations through the platform.
