“ARK” Ecological Non-Governmental Organization is committed to acting as a focal point for developing and implementing local solutions to a range of environmental issues in the region.​   The organisation aims at promoting southern Armenia as an ecotourism destination full of rich cultural and natural heritage while ensuring that the region and local rural communities will, directly and indirectly, receive economic benefits while the natural landscape remains protected. The organisation cooperates and builds partnerships with other environmentally focused organizations to share best practices and create a nationwide ecotourism industry.​  

Within the framework of the "Immediate Emergency Response" (Emergency) component of the STRIVE project “ARK” Ecological NGO fostered the resilience of displaced persons living in Kapan’s villages by providing knowledge and consultation on agriculture in new climate conditions and agro-tourism and improving housing conditions by providing households with wardrobes and washing machines. The project's direct beneficiaries were 8 families displaced from NK to the villages of Kapan.
