Title: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Volunteer
Reports to: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer
Location: Yerevan, Armenia
Contract Type: Volunteer
Time Commitment: 3 months, minimum 10 (max 15) hours a week
Travel: 25%: a stipend will be provided for pre approved travel based on NEF travel policy
Salary: This is an unpaid volunteer effort
About Us: STRIVE for a better future: communities and civil society resilience in Armenia programme aims to improve the resilience, sustainability, accountability, and capacity for innovation of Armenian civil society organisations (CSOs), enabling them to play a pivotal role in raising awareness, deepening democracy, and serving constituencies in Armenia, especially vulnerable populations. The program is co-funded by the European Union and implemented by NEF Belgium in partnership with “Agate Rights Defence Center for Women with Disabilities” NGO, “BLEJAN ecological, social, business support” NGO, “Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan” NGO and WINNET Goris Development Foundation.
NEF is a non-profit international development organization that has supported livelihoods recovery and community-based economic development in the Middle East, Africa, and Caucasus since 1915. NEF draws on local teams, experience, and partnerships in these regions to create community-led solutions to improve livelihoods and local governance among conflict and crisis-affected groups, while maintaining neutrality and ensuring inclusiveness in our approach. Working through a network of country offices and local partners, NEF currently has operations in ten countries: Armenia, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Mali, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, South Sudan, and Syria. Our programs are organised around three pillars: Inclusive Economic Development, Climate-resilient Development, and Stabilisation and Peacebuilding.
Overview: The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) department is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to provide assist the MEL department in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to measure the effectiveness and impact of the organization's programs. This is an exciting opportunity for a student or recent graduate, preferably with a background in sociology or similar discipline, to gain valuable experience in data collection, analysis, and research.
