"Impact Hub Yerevan" was founded in 2015 and operates in Yerevan, Syunik, Kotayk, Shirak, and Tavush. The organization aims to develop an ecosystem of social innovation and social entrepreneurship in Armenia. Beneficiaries are social entrepreneurs, innovative start-ups and SMEs, and telecommuting professionals.
In 2023, within the "Emergency Response" component of the STRIVE project, "Impact Hub Yerevan" implemented the Women’s Empowerment for Sustainable Livelihoods (WESL) programme, making significant strides in enhancing participants’ economic independence and overall well-being. Through a comprehensive series of sector-specific training sessions, soft skills workshops, and mental health support initiatives, 50 women gained essential skills and confidence to pursue sustainable livelihoods. Highlights include 18 participants completing beauty sector training, 13 women participating in sewing and design courses, and 19 women participating in food-making and selling training. In addition, in-depth entrepreneurship workshops tailored to the food and textile industries were conducted, complemented by mental health support sessions and art therapy for participants’ children, fostering a holistic approach to empowerment. The Programme also provided networking opportunities, such as the Armenian International Women’s Association (AIWA) symposium, enabling participants to share personal success stories and establish meaningful connections.
